| Ok. The problem with our parents generation is they did too many drugs
in the 70s. For example,

| Things we learn after you had gone:
your greasy fingers under Sheryl's blouse beneath
the collapsible bleachers, recorded on undeveloped film,
lists of names on lined paper for unknown reasons,
$2 bills tucked like glossy magazines underneath
the bed.
This is a pornography, what we do
to understand the dead and whom
we remember like most things
that we still remember -- halfway, not fondly
nor do we count ourselves lucky
to have witnessed her halloween wings and wigs,
but as an experience that we got through,
like consecutive Thanksgivings sans family,
like we got through evrything like drifts
of snow or booze or long division until now.

| The reports of my death have been exaggerated.

| I've been back for two days and it's already life as usual. My father
still hates most people, my mother still washes the floor 4 times a
day, my sister is still dating a Grand boy. I'm not starving anymore on
a budget, or cooking my own food from a very limited selection. I can
drive places again(though I'm a little shaky). I still have amazing
people here that love me far more than I deserve. My mother still makes
little projects for me to do while she's at work (today's is
hillariously awful). There's tv, computer, why did I ever complain
about my life before?
I am sick, though. Disgusting. Coughing up all sorts of stuff. mmmmmmmmm.
